Politicians Reaction to an Oligarchy

January 28, 2011

Oligarchy – a small clique of private individuals who exert a strong influence on government

How have the Politicians reacted to these events?

April 2005 Eamon Gilmore put a question in the Dail without naming the Judge- Barry White to the then Minister For Justice Michael Mc Dowell whose reply was he had already dealt with the matter That was not the case What Michael Mc Dowell had said that as Barry White from what he could establish was a trustee in his personal capacity and not appointed by the courts Therefore  the Court Service or the Minister for Justice could do nothing about the matter

August 2006 Michael Mc Dowell as Minster for Justice replied to the Petitioner’s letters giving names of representative bodies that the different companies and organisations could be reported to Such as the IAVI for the auctioneer’s involved and the FSA for the banks and accountancy firms involved At the that point the Petitioner had approached the FSA to little avail

October 2006 The Petitioner met Mary Hanafin who said the position of the other person involved – Judge Barry White – would make it difficult for anything to be done Mary Hanafin subsequently sent a letter to the Petitioner acknowledging what was discussed without going to any detail

November 2006 The Petitioner met Barry Andrews Political Assistant in Barry Andrews constituency offices and subsequently January 2011 who said on the second occasion he had heard of the settlement Barry White had made on his daughter Nerys Georgina Ryan – well where did he hear about it as the Petitioner had not made reference to it in October 2006 as at that point they were unaware it had occurred as no one had informed them So where did Barry Andrews Political Assistant hear it?

December 2006 Derry Hussey husband of former TD Gemma Hussey spoke to the Petitioner by phone and said it was a delicate matter and he – Derry Hussey – would talk to Barry White over the Christmas period 2006 and revert to the Petitioner on what Barry White’s response was The Petitioner never heard back from Derry Hussey on the matter So does not know if Derry Hussey ever approached Barry White

January 2007 The Petitioner wrote a letter to Bertie Ahern Irish Prime Minister at the time Bertie Ahern did not reply to the letter The Petitioner wrote to Eugene O Regan Senator and County Councillor at the time for the area Eugene O Regan did not reply to the letter The Petitioner met Noel Ahern Bertie Ahern’s brother who said he would talk to his brother and other on the situation and contact the Petitioner with the outcome The Petitioner heard nothing more from Noel Ahern on the matter The Petitioner met Ciaran Cuffe’s Political Assistant and gave him the details of the matter and he took the document the petitioner gave and took notes at the meeting said he would pass them on to Ciaran Cuffe who would be in touch The Petitioner heard nothing more back from Ciaran Cuffe’s office. The Petitioner met the late Seamus Brennan’s Political Assistant who took the details on the matter and the following week the Petitioner got a phone call from Seamus Brennan’s secretary who said Seamus Brennan had told her he could do nothing on the matter as the Petitioner was not residing within Seamus Brennan’s constituency The Petitioner replied that they had already stated that however Barry White was residing within the Seamus Brennan’s constituency and that is what they wanted Seamus Brennan to act upon The Secretary said they would put that to Seamus Brennan and call the Petitioner back the Petitioner heard nothing more from Seamus Brennan’s offices

Other politicians who were met and told about this fraud and deception by Judge Barry White include Ruari Quinn who was met walking on Lombard Street January 2007 he was given a document on the matter and said he would revert to the Petitioner however the Petitioner heard nothing further from Ruari Quinn Also met that day at a public meeting was Sinn Fein City Councillor Daithí Doolan He made no comment on what was said to him about the judge in question  The Petitioner and the Lay Litigant came across the public meeting and Ruairi Quinn by chance Also met in that month January 2007 at a press conference in the old Great Southern Hotel Dublin Airport the Petitioner was introduced by the Lay Litigant and spoke to Mary Lou Mc Donald Bairbre De Bruin and Martin Mc Guinness all of whom were told about the situation involving a sitting High Court Judge of the Irish Republic Bairbre De Bruin said it was outside her remit to comment and the other two said  they would look into the matter However neither of them raised it publicly subsequently so the Petitioner cannot comment if they actually looked into the situation. On the advice of a Lay Litigant who made the introductions the  Sinn Fein members mentioned above, the High Court judge was not named to Sinn Fein

April 2007 Dick Roche TD was approached in his constituency offices he wrote back to say he would look into the matter The Petitioner heard nothing more from the TD in question

May 2007 The Petitioner met an administrator in Liz Mc Manus’s constituency offices in respect of getting their passport and Driving licence transferred over to their correct name and date of birth Liz Mc Manus who was not involved in the discussions came out of her office to go on the canvas as the 2007 election had just been called and said goodbye to the Petitioner calling them by their foster name Which had not been told to her as the Petitioner was dealing with the administrator in her constituency offices. So how did she know it? Liz Mc Manus and Hilary White were at school together

January 2008 The Petitioner wrote to Dermot Ahern Minister for Justice at the time The Petitioner got a standard acknowledgment letter and heard nothing more on the matter

January March 2008 Eamon Gilmore made representations on the Petitioners behalf in respect of transferring over their passport and driving licence to their correct name and birth well at this point it had been going on for a year and the Petitioner had submitted their passport and driving under their foster name so for over a year had no passport or Driving Licence Both were transferred over in that three-month time period However by that time the passport and driving licence held by the person using the Petitioner’s birth certificate had expired

November 2009 Eamon Gilmore was asked through his administrator to put a question in the Dail about Barry White’s debt with Anglo Irish Bank and why it had not been disclosed when all the persons with debts with Anglo Irish Bank have been disclosed The administrator said Eamon Gilmore would write to the Petitioner about the matter The petitioner never received a letter from Eamon Gilmore nor was question put in the Dail to the Minister for Finance Brian Lenihan
